About reprocessing documents
During the Analyze phase, in Inspect, you can use Reprocess to send selected document through the Process phase again. Note that when you reprocess documents, Epiq Discovery obtains new document metadata, overwriting all of the existing document metadata. You can choose to keep the current file hash or recalculate a new file hash. The file hash acts as a "digital fingerprint" to uniquely identify each file.
Processing platforms, such as Bloomberg, convert original files into reviewable formats prior to collection. Without the original files, the system cannot reprocess Bloomberg chats and emails. In addition, when collected via Microsoft 365, parent ICS files from the Outlook Calendar Source Data cannot be reprocessed.
